Why subscribe to my currently free newsletter of curated media news?

Must-read curated set of media news — and commentary from me where it makes sense. We may have a relationship from the years I have run a newsletter on Revue, now killed in the Twitter upheaval. I just want to see how it develops. (If you’re new or have been referred by one of my recipients, thank you.) My background is in what Glenn Greenwald uncharitably calls “corporate journalism” which tends to mean I am cautious about views and try to be clear about errors.

Read now or later but it’ll be there when you want it

I am going to rethink the tempo and regularity of the newsletter with this move to Substack. It will be in your inbox and — like an old-fashioned newsletter. You decide when and where you want to read it. Let me know if the frequency is right, please. I am contemplating a breaking bulletin extension.

Join the crew

See if this becomes a community of people with common interests in the media and news about the media — with the odd diversion thrown in for good measure. I have been impressed at the growth of Substack and the many newsletters friends run — especially

with The Kaka, and my colleague with , and so much more. It seems to work. I already do a weekly podcast with Bernard and may extend that conversation into this platform.
