Alan knows whereof he speaks. This is an insidious threat to real journalism and mirrors what is happening in much more authoritarian countries.
This seems a bit threatening to me and in my experience it is much better to urge reporters to ask themselves what an ordinary person would think: is this tweet going to infer bias? It's also nearly impossible to enforce.

Really interesting and ironic it took YouTube to call out the disinformation spread by the ghastly old troll Alan Jones. Sky should be ashamed, as should the Australian regulator who failed to call out the broadcaster.
Some of you know I am doing some things at Stuff. I didn't have anything to do with this transaction but I agree with Duncan that it is interesting strategically and may hint at the shape of things to come.

I admire Anne Applebaum enormously and loathe Tucker Carlson's performative and wholly fake right-wing infotainment. She knows what the concept of a useful idiot was under communism and he fits the bill.
